-How He Makes Thousands Of Widows Happy Through His Foundation
Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, the founder of Kingsway International Christian Centre, one of the most popular men of God in Nigeria. He is also one of the biggest pastors in the United Kingdom where he is based. His large popularity is however not limited to just these places, as in his hometown in Nigeria, he is a large icon. The KICC founder hails from Ode Omu in Osun State.
In the past years, Pastor Ashimolowo has established himself so well among his people and has warmed himself into their hearts with many acts of philanthropy.
Kings University, established by Pastor Ashimolowo’s in his hometown is one of the high ranking private universities in Nigeria.
He is regarded as one of the most-successful, globally-known sons of Ode Omu.
Pastor Ashimolowo, has a foundation through which he helps widows. He has been doing this for quite sometime now as he hosts an annual event for widows. His Foundation caters for thousands of widows from his hometown and it’s environs like Ede, Ife and Modakeke in Osun State. The foundation started his empowerment programmer 13 years ago with 350 widows.
Last Saturday, January 6, 2017, his hometown, was a Mecca of sort. Over 17,000 widows were in attendance at the annual widows empowerment event. The giving out is strictly for widows irrespective of their religion. It was not all about giving at the event, but also an avenue for Ashimolowo to dine with the widows. They had much to eat and drink.
Pastor Mrs Yemisi Ashimolowo and Pastor Femi Fasheru were also in attendance at the event. Another man of God whose ministry is known for fervent prayers, Pastor Wole Oladiyun of CLAM also attended and entertained the widows with his many songs and also offered prayers for them.
Popular gospel singer, Opelope Annointing was on the band stand.
The widows went home blessed with not just prayers, cash, food, and fabrics.
We hear the widows are always looking forward to the yearly event.
It was also revealed that one of the reasons Pastor Ashimolowo focused on widows is because “widows” are a set of less privilege people that the society dont really focus on.
