Most Superior Evangelist Taiwo Oshin; (the 2nd-in-command leader of the Celestial Church of Christ, CCC worldwide has clocked 100 years on earth. Baba Oshin (as the latest centenarian is fondly called) is an illustrious son of the Adegorushen Alaagbe family and a patriarch of the Lasunwo royal family in Ikorodu, Lagos.
On his milestone birthday celebration, notable people worldwide -including President Bola Tinubu, have been extolling Baba Oshin’s life as an exemplary leader with commitment to serving God and humanity.
In a special statement to congratulate Baba Oshin at 100, President TInubu said .. “For seven decades as a member of the clergy and as the second in command of the Celestial Church of Christ for the past 20 years, Baba Oshin has been a steadfast servant of faith and humanity. His contributions to spreading good Christian values and advancing missionary activities, particularly in Ogun State, have left an indelible mark on our nation.”
“As you join the extraordinary league of centenarians, I celebrate your life of service, faith, and impact. On behalf of a grateful nation, I extend my best wishes for your continued sound health, joy, and fulfilment,” the President said.
Activities of the 100th birthday celebration of the accomplished faith leader started yesterday and climaxes tomorrow -with centenary birthday thanksgiving service holding at CCC National Headquarters, Makoko, Yaba -to be followed by a grand reception at Whitestone Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
