To many mutual friends and associates between billionaire economist/banker and billionaire investor, Femi Otedola -nothing could be more pleasing right now, than seeing the duo finally put their differences aside. Otedola showed the world that the past is now behind him and his friend, Tony when he shared a picture of them together at his Dubai residence last night. “It was a pleasure to host my good friend “African pride”, Tony Elumelu, at my Dubai residence last night. Two years ago, both men locked horns in a hot corporate war, no thanks to Otedola’s moves to take over Transnational Company of Nigeria (Transcorp) from Elumelu. Unfortunately, his plans backfired as both businessmen reached a deal on the control of Transcorp, with Elumelu buying back Otedola’s shares at a premium and consolidating his hold on the company. While Elumelu chose to downplay what happened, Otedola rather went to town with how Elumelu betrayed him businesswise on at least two occasions. 
Shortly after Otedola’s revelation, both friends stopped speaking to each other. They avoided each other and ensured they both never attended events hosted by their mutual friends.
