Antony, the midfielder for Manchester United, has addressed the recent allegations of domestic and physical abuse made by three women. He spoke on a television program in Brazil, where he denied any wrongdoing and expressed his innocence, stating that he has never harmed a woman in his life. During his emotional appearance on the Fofocalizando program, the 23-year-old refuted the claims made by his former girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, who alleged multiple incidents of assault between June 2022 and May of the current year.
Additional accusations have arisen from two other women, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana. Rayssa de Freitas reported a police complaint in May 2022, citing a need for hospital treatment after an incident in Antony’s car following a nightclub visit in Sao Paulo. Ingrid Lana claimed that Antony pushed her against a wall and attempted to engage in non-consensual activity during a visit to his house in October 2022.
Antony provided his perspective on these allegations, denying any involvement in any harmful actions towards women and refuting the accusations of headbutting and assault. He expressed his certainty that he will provide evidence to support his claims.
As a result of these allegations, the Brazilian Football Association has suspended Antony from the national team pending the conclusion of investigations. Manchester United is closely monitoring the situation and has yet to make a decision regarding his status.
