AS Roma Unveils New Manager to Replace Jose Mourinho

AS Roma swiftly appointed Daniele De Rossi as the replacement for recently sacked Jose Mourinho, who faced dismissal due to a string of poor results. Returning to the club after 18 years, De Rossi, now a manager, is set to lead the team in his first game against Verona on Saturday, January 19, 2024, at the Stadio Olimpico.

Having made 616 appearances and scored 63 goals for the Giallorossi, De Rossi holds the second position in the club’s all-time appearance record. His notable achievements include winning the Coppa Italia twice (2007 and 2008) and claiming one Supercoppa in 2007.

After retiring from playing, De Rossi joined the coaching staff of the Italian national team, lifting the European Championship trophy on July 11th, 2021, after defeating England in the final at Wembley Stadium. Following this success, he took over as the head coach of SPAL for the last season (2022/23).
