Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt, born Windham Rotunda, has tragically passed away at the age of 36, as confirmed by Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque on social media. Wyatt had been absent from WWE television since February, a hiatus attributed to a suspected life-threatening illness. In the days leading up to his untimely demise, there were hopeful indications of his impending return to the ring.

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda — also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today,” Levesque wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”
