The Lagos State Police Command has declared Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy and a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, wanted. This declaration came after Primeboy refused to cooperate with a police invitation for questioning regarding the singer’s death. SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, issued a statement announcing a reward of N1 million for anyone who can provide information leading to Primeboy’s arrest.
Primeboy, who denies any involvement in Mohbad’s death, released a video stating that they were close friends and that there was no reason for him to harm Mohbad. He explained that on the Sunday before Mohbad’s death, he received a call from the singer, who asked him to meet in Lekki while he was in Ikorodu. Primeboy emphasized their strong friendship and the opportunities Mohbad had provided for him in the music industry, including introducing him to artists like Bella Schmurda, who gifted him a valuable gold necklace. Primeboy maintained his innocence and expressed disbelief at accusations that he played a role in his friend’s death.
