Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his congratulations to President Tinubu for his triumph at the Presidential Election Petition Court. The court’s ruling on Wednesday, September 6, affirmed President Tinubu’s election and dismissed the petitions filed by the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party, and the Allied Peoples Movement APM.
In a statement released through his media aide, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his delight at the court’s decision. He commended the PEPC for upholding justice in the face of intimidation and prejudice, emphasizing that the victory belongs to democracy and the people.
Buhari also urged the newly inaugurated APC administration under Tinubu to garner support from all quarters to fulfill their promises to the people. He extended his gratitude to citizens for maintaining peace during this period and offered prayers for ongoing progress and development under the APC government.
Furthermore, he congratulated the President, Vice President, and the APC on their legal victory, conveying his best wishes for the realization of the people’s aspirations.
