During the interview, Burna Boy responded to the presenter’s inquiry about the validity of these claims with a hearty laugh, hinting that he doesn’t mind letting such rumors persist while the actual figure diverges significantly.

In response to questions about his incorporation of Black American style into his upcoming song, “City Boy,” Burna Boy emphasized that he never asserted that Black Americans lack a cultural identity. He maintained that his comments merely echoed the sentiments of Malcolm X, stating, “If somebody can show me the part where I said Black Americans don’t have culture… There’s nothing I said that Malcolm X didn’t say.”
