The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has organized the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) draw by grouping the 24 participating teams into four different pots.
Pot 1 features the top-ranked teams, including the host nation, Cote D’Ivoire, along with Nigeria.
In Pot 2, you’ll find Nigeria alongside some of African football’s powerhouses, such as Cameroon, who have won AFCON five times, Ghana with four titles, Mali and Burkina Faso, who were finalists in 1972 and 2013, and the two-time winner, DR Congo.

The competition’s draw is scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023. The competition itself is set to commence on January 13, 2024, and will conclude on February 11, 2024.
