Celebrating Iconic Industrialist And Philanthropist, Alhaji Dr. Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf (Kamwire) As He Adds Another Year

Renowned Industrialist and philanthropist, Alhaji Dr Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf Fcsn Fmsc -the Chairman/CEO of KAM Holdings Ltd (popularly known as KAMWIRE) clocked 56 on October 16. This exceptional man of industry and charity was specially celebrated on the day by his wife, Hajia Bolanle Iyaduni Yusuf, his family, friends, staffs, business and political leaders, as well wishers across the globe. Kamwire is widely regarded as an esteemed Kwaran and Nigerian, who consistently adds value in every endeavor. He is described by many as a man with a magnanimous heart wrapped in humility.

Born on 16th October 1968, Kamoru Ibitoye Yusuf is an indigene of Iwo community, in Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State.  He rose from the little boy that lost his mother at a very tender age to become business icon. He started from learning how to trade in Metals and Metal Derivatives for seven years while still engaging in Part Time Studies and became a literate and very intelligent business man and a foremost Distributor to notable companies in the wire and steel industry in Nigeria. Through a dint of hard work, he ventured into manufacturing in 1997 to produce Nails and other Wire Products, a sub sector highly dominated by foreign owned companies. Today the company has become a leading producer of Steel and Steel products in Nigeria. Through his KAM Holdings Group Limited headquartered at Ilorin, Kwara State, Dr Yusuf has shown that steel production is a major bedrock of the Nigeria economy -with massive job opportunities and potentials to conserve the country of the scarce foreign exchange.

He has been recognised severally for his numerous contributions to the growth and economy of his state through massive job creation. He has also been awarded honorary doctorate degrees by universities within and outside Nigeria. He is a recipient of the National honor,  MON (Member of the Order of the Niger) conferred on him by President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR in October 2022. His landmark achievements include; being the first Nigerian to establish a Manufacturing company in the South East Region of the People’s Republic of China in 2008, the first Nigerian Manufacturer to successfully produce Galvanised Roofing Nails in West Africa as well as the first African to build the largest integrated Cold Roll Mill Complex in Nigeria.
