Chelsea Football Club has brought Andrey Santos back from Nottingham Forest due to his limited playing time during the loan period. The official announcement was made on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, on Chelsea’s website.
The decision to recall the Brazilian international stemmed from reports indicating insufficient game time at Forest, where the 19-year-old had joined in the 2023 summer transfer window.
Despite making his debut and featuring in the Premier League under Steve Cooper, Santos did not play under the new Forest head coach, Nuno Espirito Santos.
It’s worth noting that Santos initially joined Chelsea in the 2023 January transfer window from Vasco da Gama before going on loan to Nottingham Forest. Impressively, he showcased his skills for the Blues during the 2023/24 pre-season games.
