Chelsea Midfielder, Romeo Lavia Out of Action for Six Weeks

Chelsea Football Club’s stakeholders are facing ongoing challenges with injuries. The latest report from the club indicates that Romeo Lavia sustained an injury during training, delaying his debut game for the Blues. According to the Daily Mail, the midfielder will be sidelined for the next six weeks, which means he won’t be available until mid-October 2023.

Despite his £58 million price tag, Lavia has been working hard to regain fitness since joining Chelsea, participating in either full training or matches since his move to Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately, injuries have plagued the team this season, with Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah, and Christopher Nkunku all getting injured during preseason games in the United States.

Furthermore, the team’s captain, Reece James, suffered a hamstring injury during training after Chelsea’s season opener against Liverpool, while Carney Chukwuemeka sustained a knee injury during the defeat at West Ham. The club’s injury troubles seem far from over.
