Eden Hazard’s Return to the Pitch: Charity Game with French Legends in 2023

Football enthusiasts may have the chance to witness Eden Hazard, the former captain of the Belgian men’s national football team, make a return to the pitch for one last appearance.

After parting ways with Real Madrid at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, Hazard has been without a club. The talented forward, who made the move from Chelsea to the Bernabeu in 2019 for a hefty £130 million, was initially anticipated to dominate La Liga as he did in the Premier League.

While there have been indications that Hazard might retire from professional football, there’s good news for fans. According to reports from L’Equipe, Eden Hazard is set to participate in a charity match for the Variety Club de France on October 18, 2023, at the Stade de L’Epopee in Calais.

The Variety Club de France, established in 1971, regularly hosts charity matches, featuring some of the greatest football players in history. Hazard will join the team for this particular game, sharing the pitch with iconic French World Cup winners from 1998, including Didier Deschamps, Laurent Blanc, Robert Pires, and Christian Karembeu.
