The gale of breakups and divorces in the world of celebrities continues with the announcement by 35-year-old Professional Golfer Rory Mcllroy that has filed for a divorce of his wife Erica Still.
Rory, a Proffessional Golfers Association of America (PGA) (Northern Irish) member made the decision barely a week to the commencement of the PGA Championship. Detailed reasons for this action have not been announced yet. However, it is largely due to ‘Irreconcilable differences.
Confirming the information, the golfer’s spokesperson emphasised that Rory Mcllroy intended that this difficult time is as respectable and amicable as possible.
Mcllroy and Erica had met in 2012 when she was working with the PGA at the Ryder Cup. They were reported to have started dating in 2014 and have a child together. Speaking on the PGA Championships, Mcllroy expressed confidence amidst this trying times, he affirmed that he was way better now than he was 10 years ago when he landed his fourth major.
