Kevin Hart’s Injury Update: Comedian Takes a Break from Running

Renowned comedian Kevin Hart has put his running shoes aside temporarily due to a recent injury. Taking to his Instagram account, the 44-year-old comedian shared a video recounting the unfortunate incident that has left him confined to a wheelchair.

In the video, Kevin Hart humorously announced that he’s “sitting [his] ass down” and explained that he wanted to share the news of his injury to reassure his fans who might see him in public with rehabilitation gear. This injury occurred during a friendly race with his friend, retired NFL player Stevan Ridley, who had won a Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. Although the race didn’t end in Hart’s favor, it resulted in the Jumanji star tearing his lower abdomen and abductors. With a touch of humor, Hart emphasized, “The age 40 is real. It’s not a game; respect that age.”

For those seeking a more technical understanding, the muscles responsible for moving the legs toward and away from the center of the body, known as adduction and abduction, are in the hip area.

As for the duration of his wheelchair confinement, Kevin Hart didn’t specify the exact recovery timeline in his Instagram video, but he did playfully flash his wheelchair. Many of his friends and fellow celebrities, including Dwayne Johnson and Will Smith, expressed their well wishes and understanding of the challenges that come with aging. Dwayne Johnson even shared his own experience with a similar injury, reassuring Hart that he’ll be fine.
