Lagos King, Ojora Of Ijora Takes 3rd Olori, 3yrs After Marrying The Second -Rice Merchant, Alhaja Amoke Muritala Is The New Queen

Oba Ojora had on Sunday, January 31, 2021 taken in Olori Funmilayo as his new wife.

The Ojora of Lagos, HRM, Oba Fatai Aremu Aromire Ojora has once again, taken a new queen. The monarch has just married Alhaja Amoke Muritala, a businesswoman and Lagos Island rice merchant popularly known as Iya Musa. Oba Ojora had on Sunday, January 31, 2021 taken in Olori Funmilayo  as his new wife. He has now picked a new queen, three years after that. Formalities for the monarch’s wedding to Alhaja Amoke were done three weekends ago at her hometown, Ilorin in Kwara State. Traditionally, Yoruba kings don’t appear in person at their wedding, hence Oba Ojora sent a high-powered delegation including his white cap chiefs and other eminent personalities to do the rites in Ilorin. The team had a stopover to pay homage at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, HRM, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR. We learnt that the new bride is a Princess from Ilorin. Olori Amoke’s  close friends, including Lagos fabrics dealer, Laide Olohunwa all stood firmly with their own during the ceremonies. The latest Olori is now settled with her new royal hubby and currently blushing over her new status. Meanwhile, we scooped from those who are in the know that Alhaja Amoke and Oba Ojora’s romance didn’t just start. Before now, some of her closest friends have been referring to her as ‘Aya Oba’ (the King’s wife).

It would be recalled that Oba Ojora’s first Olori moved out of the palace when he took in the second wife.

The older Olori has since not reconciled with the monarch despite several efforts by influential close friends and family members to reconcile them.
