Manchester United has officially announced the injury of a crucial player just ahead of the upcoming Premier League fixtures. The Red Devils will have to do without one of their key midfielders as the club confirmed that the player sustained an injury while representing his country on international duty.
Casemiro, the midfielder in question, has been sidelined due to the knock he picked up during Brazil’s 1-1 draw with Venezuela this week. The confirmation of his injury came from Brazil’s head coach, Fernandeo Diniz, during his press conference. Casemiro had to be substituted in the 78th minute of the World Cup qualifier match held at Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba.
Fernandeo Diniz, speaking in the post-match press conference, explained, “During a stoppage in play, I made three substitutions, and Casemiro requested to be taken off due to an ankle injury. We had good control when the substitutes came on.”
