Chelsea’s manager, Mauricio Pochettino, addressed Andrey Santos’ future at the club during a press conference ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Middlesbrough. Pochettino mentioned that Santos will head to Brazil to join the national team for a month.
The club will assess the situation during this period and decide whether a loan move or staying with Chelsea is the best option upon his return from Brazil.
Santos had been recalled from Nottingham Forest earlier, as he didn’t get sufficient game time during his six-month loan spell starting in the 2022 summer transfer window.
