Paul Pogba’s Representative Speaks Out About His Player’s Present Situation

The representative of former Manchester United player Paul Pogba has provided an update on his current situation. The French international faced a provisional suspension from Italy’s anti-doping agency, NADO, after testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone following Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Udinese on August 20, 2023.

Rafaela Pimenta, Pogba’s agent, issued a statement to Sky Sports News on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, saying, “We are awaiting the results of the counter analysis, and until then, we cannot make any definitive statements. What we are certain of is that Paul Pogba never intended to violate any rules.”

In response to the situation, Juventus Football Club released a statement, announcing, “Today, Paul Labile Pogba received a precautionary suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal following adverse test results on August 20, 2023. The club will assess the next steps in the process.”

Pogba is set to undergo a second round of testing to determine a conclusive outcome. If he tests positive again, he may face a hearing before the National Anti-Doping Tribunal and a potential playing ban of up to four years, per FIFA regulations.
