The Premier League has revealed the nominees for the Manager of the Month award for August.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, has carried on his strong performance from last season. His team secured victories against Nottingham Forest, but they did stumble with a loss to Crystal Palace and a draw against Fulham, resulting in four points dropped this season.
Pep Guardiola, the reigning 2022/23 Barclays Manager of the Season, stands as the sole nominee with a flawless record. Manchester City triumphed in all three of their August matches, setting the stage for an impressive title defense.
Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp continues his unbeaten streak from the previous season into the current campaign, securing two wins and a draw. The season began with a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, followed by victories against AFC Bournemouth. Klopp’s decision to substitute Darwin Nunez during the dramatic win over Newcastle at St James’ Park proved pivotal.
Also making the list are David Moyes and Ange Postecoglou, both of whom have excelled in their roles at West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur, respectively.
