Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ruger, whose real name is Michael Adebayo Olayinka, recently launched his own record label called ‘Blown Boy Ent.’
He shared the exciting news on his Instagram story on January 19, 2024, featuring a music freestyle video and tagging his new label, @blownboyent. Fans are eagerly anticipating Ruger’s upcoming releases under the Blown Boy banner, although there’s no official statement about his departure from Jonzing World, his previous record label.
Ruger, known for hits like “Bounce,” gained fame after signing with Jonzing World in 2021 and released his debut EP, Pandemic, in the same year.
His track ‘Asiwaju’ topped Spotify’s 2023 most streamed songs in Sub-Saharan Africa, showcasing its popularity across the continent.
