The deal, valued at €41.5 million with an additional €3 million in add-ons (equivalent to £35.5 million plus £2.5 million), cements Kudus as West Ham’s fourth summer signing, following the acquisitions of Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, and Konstantinos Mavropanos.

In an exclusive interview with West Ham’s official website, Kudus expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’ve been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn’t stop here, I want to keep going.”

The young attacker also conveyed his commitment to the club, saying, “I will fight for the badge. I can’t wait to get started.”

Kudus’ exceptional talents attracted interest from several European giants, including Brighton, Arsenal, and Chelsea, but West Ham emerged victorious in securing his signature.

Prior to his move to West Ham, Kudus made headlines with a stunning performance for Ajax, scoring four goals in three matches this season, including a memorable Europa League hat-trick against Ludogorets Razgrad.

West Ham’s manager, David Moyes, lauded the club’s board and Tim Steidten for their efforts in bringing Kudus to London, emphasizing the player’s remarkable potential and the club’s growing appeal in the football world.

“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring Mohammed to West Ham United,” Moyes stated. “The fact we’ve been able to attract a player of his undoubted quality to London Stadium shows the pull West Ham has now – the Board and Tim deserve huge credit for getting this one over the line.”
