Years after its initial release, ‘Made In Lagos‘ by Wizkid, one of the biggest Afrobeats projects ever, is still a favorite among fans. The album has made a triumphant return to the Billboard Charts.
As fans eagerly await new music from the Grammy Award-winning artist Wizkid, ‘Made In Lagos’ has re-entered the Billboard World Albums chart, securing the 15th spot. This achievement extends Wizkid’s record as the African artist with the longest-charting album on the chart.
Back in February 2022, ‘Made In Lagos’ had already tied the record for the longest-charting African album on the Billboard World Albums chart, a record previously held by Cape Verdean singer Cesaria Evora and her Grammy award-winning album, ‘Cesária.’ Cesaria had spent a total of 66 weeks on the charts, reaching as high as the number 2 position, making her the sole African artist to achieve such a feat. However, Wizkid has now exceeded this record, spending over 130 weeks on the chart with this latest re-entry.
