90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After’ star Angela Deem has filed for an annulment from her husband Michael Ilesanmi months after he arrived in America. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Angela, 58, submitted her complaint on June 20 in Georgia court.
In her filing, Angela said she married Michael, 35, on January 27, 2020, in Nigeria. Angela’s grounds for annulment are that Michael “fraudulently induced” her into marriage “to gain legal permanent resident status in the United States.”
According to her petition, first reported by Starcasm, Angela discovered that Michael, after abandoning her, was involved in a scheme with other Nigerian men to marry U.S. citizens for residency purposes. Angela stated that there are no minor children from the marriage and none are expected. She also noted that there is no joint property or debt to be divided and requested that her maiden name, Deem, be restored.
Additionally, Angela has asked for Michael to be ordered to cover a reasonable amount of attorney fees and court costs. She included a declaration stating that she had been unable to locate Michael.
